I started FBH (Fueled By Hope) Photography in 2003 as nothing more than a creative outlet for my photography. It was an easy way to share the wonderful places and experiences I've had through the years with others. Along the way, I've been very blessed to meet some incredible people; from the soccer mom at an art show reminiscing of her family outings to Split Rock Lighthouse where she stood next the very tree in my photo, to the grizzled retired (and very talented, I came to learn) photographer I met at a state park, who made it his business to teach me the ins and outs of the "cesspool" known as freelance photography. And that is what has always driven me. The connection photography can create between complete strangers. I love seeing other people's photos as much as I enjoy sharing my own. As cheesy as it sounds, there are simply so many moments in life, that will never be seen again in the same way, after that shutter clicks; That cloud formation in the corner of a picture, the half-smirk of a toddler who just realized there's a camera on him, and the look from a groom seeing his bride-to-be for the first time. These are the moments that keep my passion going for photography, whether it's captured by myself or someone I've never even met.
I do my best to run FBH Photography from a Christian perspective along with my amazingly supportive wife. At my core, I'm just an average guy who loves God and decided to pursue photography.
